Donner Summit, at the crest of the central Sierra Nevada, is the focus of interest of many different groups.
Rivers, mountains, lakes, wildlife, plant communities- these are just a few of the things threatened by Foster and Syme's
Royal Gorge LLC's massive proposed development.
A variety of web pages, and various groups have stepped up,
both to inform the public about the project, and to monitor the development during the planning process; it is anticipated
that more groups will become involved after the formal applications are filed in Placer and Nevada counties.
The
purpose of this website is to both alert the public, with SOS, the international cry of distress, and to provide ready access
to all the various groups watching the proposed development, and all of the web pages with information about Royal Gorge LLC's
project. This site will provide very basic information, and will, hopefully, route you to pages and groups that will
enable you to become more fully informed, and if you wish, show you how to "SOS"-- Save Our Summit.
